We are currently hiring a Senior GIS Analyst in either Brisbane or Canberra.

Position Snapshot

The Senior GIS Analyst will play a crucial role in the successful and efficient development, construction, and operation of Windlabs renewable energy projects by ensuring the accurate and timely provision of geospatial information. This role involves administering, maintaining, and developing Windlab’s Geographical Information System (GIS), which is based on the ArcGIS platform. As the Senior GIS Analyst you will work closely with internal clients to deliver precise and insightful geospatial analysis, aiding in decision-making processes. Additionally, you will be instrumental in enhancing our GIS platform. By collaborating with external developers and our in-house project origination, development, and delivery teams, you will create new methods to streamline internal processes.

What Sets you apart!

As a Senior GIS Analyst, you will have experience with ArcGIS (online or pro) and/or QGIS, and skills in developing scripts (Python, VB) for task automation. Familiarity with GIS-based Python languages and libraries is essential. You will be team-oriented, focused on delivering excellence, and possess strong communication skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

You should have tertiary qualifications in Geospatial Science, Engineering, Software Engineering/Development, or Computer Science, and be proficient in Python and SQL (or any database system). The ability to work autonomously is important. Experience in the renewable industry, ideally in solar or wind, is desirable.
