Sr. Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist

Responsibilities of the Sr. Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist
• Evaluate work locations for safety and environmental risks
• Conduct routine safety/environmental checks and inspections
• Develop recommendations for improvement based on observations
• Provide guidance to engineering and R&D departments for new projects
• Develop and conduct employee training
• Prepare and file reports
• Perform accident investigations and identify root cause(s)
• Manage Workers Compensation program
• Manage hazardous waste programs for full quantity generators
• Provide guidance for shipping hazardous materials
• Ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications of the Sr. Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist
• Bachelor's degree in environmental and safety-related field plus 7-10 years of direct EHS experience in a manufacturing setting
• Strong understanding of chemical hazards
• Thorough understanding of OSHA and EPA/NHDES regulations
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Acute attention to detail and good problem-solving abilities
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Comfortable presenting training to large groups
• Must be able to travel between Manchester and Bow, NH
