Job Description
ENERCON is seeking a Senior Environmental Geologist in Oklahoma City, OK, to perform environmental fieldwork, manage Phase II Investigations, and communicate with clients and regulators. Candidates need a Bachelor's in Geology or Environmental Science, 10 years of experience, and Oklahoma Corporation Commission licensing. The role requires excellent communication and project management skills. Full-time position with benefits offered by ENERCON.
Senior Environmental Geologist
We are seeking a Senior Environmental Geologist to join our Environmental Services Group in Oklahoma City, OK.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform environmental fieldwork, including soil and groundwater investigations, with task-oriented work assignments to support project objectives.
• Conduct and/or manage Phase II Investigations, developing scopes of work and cost estimates, managing subcontractors, and completing geologic and geophysical studies.
• Communicate with clients, regulators, and third-party groups, providing defensible recommendations and solutions that meet client objectives.
• Maintain confidentiality related to property and client-sensitive information.
• Internal administration and training.
Requirements:
• Oklahoma Corporation Commission Licensed Remediation Consultant
• Bachelor's Degree in Geology or Environmental Science and at least 10 years of experience in environmental consulting
• General subject matter expert on Oklahoma Corporation Commission Petroleum Storage Tank Division and Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality programs
• Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks concurrently with varying scopes of work and time constraints
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Demonstrated problem-solving, scientific evaluation skills, and understanding of field and laboratory analytical analysis and results
• Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
• Current 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
• Professional Geoscientist (or Professional Engineer) license
