About the position
SCS Engineers is seeking an experienced Engineer or Scientist to join our established team in the Southeastern Virginia market, currently operating from our office in Virginia Beach. As a nationwide firm focused on growth, we are looking for a full-time Environmental Leader to take on a senior position as our Deputy Satellite Office Manager. This role is pivotal in expanding our business within the solid waste management industry or real estate markets in Southeastern Virginia. In the role of Deputy Satellite Office Manager, you will wear multiple hats, including Project Management responsibilities, and will be instrumental in growing our Solid Waste Management or Environmental Services practices. You will also serve as a Seller-Doer, contributing to our growth by developing new and existing client relationships, integrating with other staff across the company, and managing the Profit/Loss of your projects and business unit. Additionally, you will seek profitable ways to increase the Satellite Office staff and provide guidance and mentorship to select team members. As a Seller, you will play a leading role in new client acquisition, maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, and collaborate with SCS national technical experts to develop strategies that enhance our contributions to client success. Your responsibilities will also include writing and reviewing proposals to enhance the value of the services we provide. As a Doer, you will work alongside a team of professionals, including SCS national experts, to assist clients in resolving a variety of environmental challenges. These challenges may include Solid Waste Management and Engineering, Groundwater Monitoring and Reporting, Hydrogeologic Investigations, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Soil and Groundwater Remediation, Brownfield Redevelopment, Environmental Compliance, Liquids Management Issues, and Air Permitting and Compliance Reporting.

Requirements
• Bachelors or Masters of Science in an environmental related science or engineering field required
,
• Minimum of 10 years of related work experience required
,
• Minimum of 5 years working at an environmental consulting firm required
,
• Business Development experience in the Southeast Virginia market preferred
,
• Virginia Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Geologist (P.G.) preferred
,
• Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing required
