Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a Senior Environmental Due Diligence Professional in Washington, DC or Columbia, MD. The role involves managing environmental due diligence projects, developing business opportunities, and mentoring staff. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree, at least 8 years of experience in environmental consulting, and strong knowledge of regulations. Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a full time Senior Professional Environmental Due Diligence in our Columbia, MD, or Washington D.C office and within our established environmental management practice group. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Support clients with environmental aspects of transactions, reporting, litigation, and other business decisions.
• Lead and manage environmental due diligence projects.
• Develop business opportunities with new and existing clients and prepare associated proposals.
• Effectively steward and build client relationships to generate repeat business.
• Manage multiple clients and projects within the scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables.
• Manage the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management.
• Oversee and delegate work to junior and senior staff; and
• Provide mentoring and training to technical staff for due diligence and compliance projects.

Education and Licensure
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, geology or a related field. (required)
• Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
• Professional registration (e.g., CHMM, CEP, CHP, CIH) (preferred)

Skills, Experience And Qualifications
• At least 8 years (10+ preferred) of relevant experience in an environmental consulting environment, the environmental and/or health & safety compliance and management industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
• Experience developing business opportunities with new and existing clients and preparing associated proposals. (preferred)
• Experience planning, conducting, and reviewing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments. (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective communication and training abilities. (required)
• Experience managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management. (required)
• Field work and overnight travel may be required.
• Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.
• Minimum Salary: $109,805/year / Maximum Salary: $187,350 /year (Columbia, MD)
• Minimum Salary: $115,040year / Maximum Salary: $196,275 /year (Washington, D.C)
