Position: Senior Environmental Data Management Manager
Location: Jacksonville, Florida
We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Data Management Manager to lead our environmental data management team. This position will play a key role in managing and expanding our data management capabilities within EnSafe's Environmental Information System (EIS) services, which include GIS, modeling, and analytical data management.
The successful candidate will lead a team, collaborate with technical leads across multiple disciplines, manage and further develop our EarthSoft EQuIS environment, and oversee data management activities for large-scale environmental projects.EnSafe, an employee-owned, global environmental consulting and engineering firm, strives to provide cutting-edge, creative solutions for our clients.
We specialize in custom solutions across Environmental Management and Planning, Civil Design Engineering, Environmental Restoration, Natural & Water Resources, Health & Safety, and Technology, with 24 offices operating across the United States.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Lead and manage a team of environmental database managers, providing mentorship and direction.
• Collaborate with technical leads in EnSafe's EIS services, including GIS and modeling, to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage and develop our EarthSoft's EQuIS environment to meet evolving project needs.
• Oversee data management aspects of large, complex environmental projects, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Ensure data integrity through adherence to best practices, quality control procedures, and standardization across projects.
• Implement and maintain regular updates to regulatory references and ensure compliance with data management standards and security.
• Support internal clients such as project managers and team members, providing data solutions that enhance project delivery.
What You'll Need:
• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (e.g., Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geology, Biology) or Computer Science/Information Technology is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, ideally in a technical or consulting environment.
• Experience with EarthSoft's EQuIS and relational databases is required.
• Experience in GIS, Structured Query Language (SQL), chemistry, and data validation is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information effectively.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities, demonstrating professionalism and resourcefulness.
