QUALIFICATIONS :
• 10+ years of reclamation and remediation experience, including Phase 1, 2, and 3 Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) and reporting.
• Expert knowledge of Alberta Environmental Reclamation & Remediation Criteria and Guidelines for well sites and related facilities.
• Understanding of relevant provincial and federal legislation.
• Experience with pre- and post-reclamation assessments and reclamation certificate applications.
• Knowledge of Alberta Environmental Criteria and Guidelines.
• Strong project management skills, especially in upstream oil and gas projects.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel.
• Experience supervising, training, and coaching team members.
• Proficiency in relevant software for word processing and data management.
• Degree or Diploma in Environmental, Natural, or Soil Sciences.
• Professional status or eligibility for such with APEGA, AIA, or ASPB.
JOB DUTIES :
• Manage assessment, remediation, and reclamation projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion, either directly or as an advisor.
• Coordinate with the Program Manager to ensure proper documentation and project scope.
• Monitor and control project expenditures to maintain financial accountability.
• Oversee the completion of client final reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Conduct complex field assessments and reclamation activities for Phase 2 and 3 ESA projects.
• Delegate tasks to junior and intermediate project managers, providing on-site supervision and direction.
• Mentor and develop junior staff to reach their full potential.
• Promote teamwork to foster high employee morale, productivity, and engagement.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships to support ongoing and expanded projects.
• Provide clients with required information through established reporting protocols.
• Assess reclamation success across various oil and gas well sites in Alberta.
• Liaise with clients, regulators, and landowners.
• Analyze and interpret data relevant to project assessments.
