Senior Environmental Consultant

Ntu International A/S is hiring a Senior Environmental Consultant in Madrid, Spain, to lead an EU-funded climate adaptation project. The role involves developing climate risk assessments and providing advisory support to public entities. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Climate Adaptation Expert to join our team at NTU International A/S. As a key member of our consortium, you will play a vital role in implementing an EU-funded project focused on climate adaptation, resilience, and nature-based solutions.

The primary objective of this project is to provide targeted technical and financial advisory support to public promoters within the EU, thereby accelerating environmental investments. This involves developing and implementing effective climate risk and vulnerability assessments for environment or infrastructure projects.

About the Project:
• Duration: The project will commence in June/July 2025 and continue for 24 months
• Key focus areas: Climate change, adaptation, resilience, and nature-based solutions

Your Role:
• Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement effective climate risk and vulnerability assessments
• Provide technical expertise to public authorities, utility companies, or government agencies on climate adaptation and resilience

Requirements:
• At least 15 years of professional experience in advisory services, planning, project development, or research related to climate change
• Excellent written and spoken English (CEFR C1) or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in advising public authorities, utility companies, or government agencies on climate adaptation and resilience
• Familiarity with nature-based solutions
