Job Description
Hays Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to enhance sustainability for clients in the UK. The role involves working independently and in teams, managing client relationships, and addressing environmental issues. Candidates should possess strong communication, project management, and analytical skills. The position offers a competitive salary, benefits, and hybrid working options, allowing for 2 days of remote work per week.
Your new company
Our client is an Environmental Consultancy established in 2007 who offer a range of specialist environmental services to public and private sector organisations across the UK.
They are looking for someone to help them with their mission to improve sustainability in the UK. Supporting various clients to develop their sustainability credentials and to minimise their impact on the environment.
Your new role
Your new role will require you to work independently and as part of project teams, to deliver awesome work which enables customers to develop their businesses sustainably. As well as develop and maintain excellent customer relationships to ensure existing customers are retained, and identify further business opportunities from working knowledge.
What you'll need to succeed
• The ability to balance your commitment to the environment with the need to be corporate and business-minded
• Excellent communication skills to rationally explain, explore and discuss environmental issues, as well as to sell your ideas and services
• The ability to build relationships with a range of people, such as project managers and contractors
• The ability to manage client expectations around sustainability issues
• Knowledge of environmental issues, but also technological solutions, and relevant environmental legislation, policy and guidance
• Project management skills to manage scope, budget and timescales
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills for analysing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data
• Research, writing reports and making recommendations.
