We are seeking a skilled Senior Energy Optimization Engineer to join our team of experts in Melbourne, Australia. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining our cutting-edge technology platform that enables households to shift their energy usage to times when renewables are available at cheaper rates. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring seamless integration with various devices, including batteries, hot water systems, and pool pumps, as well as optimizing mobile and web applications for customers to monitor and manage their energy usage.

Your Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software components across the entire stack
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and operations, to ensure efficient delivery of projects
• Conduct thorough research, analysis, and evaluation of system requirements to identify areas for improvement
• Test, debug, and diagnose errors in our tech stack according to operational specifications

Requirements and Qualifications
• 3-5 years of commercial development experience in either Web or Mobile environments
• Strong knowledge of Typescript, React Native, and Serverless Lambda backend on AWS
• Experience with languages sharing features with Typescript (such as JavaScript, C#, Go, or similar) is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, built on a foundation of empathy for fellow humans
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
