Senior Energy Consultant - Grid

Assegai Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Senior Energy Consultant - Grid for their Energy Division in Johannesburg or Cape Town. The role requires a BSc/BEng in engineering, preferably with renewable energy qualifications, and at least 8 years of relevant experience. Key responsibilities include project management, technical advisory services, and mentoring junior staff. This is a full-time position based in South Africa.
Leading international consulting engineering firm is looking for a Senior Energy Consultant with a focus on Grid connections and large project context to join their Energy Division in Cape Town or Johannesburg.

Requirements:
• BSc. or BEng. Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Preferably with a further qualification in renewable energy
• Professionally registered with ECSA
• 8 or more years relevant experience
• Recognizable experience relevant in the energy sector with specific exposure to the renewable energy and in particular grid connections.
• Project Management and support to lead and deliver technical advisory, owner's engineer and design services within the renewable energy sector for clients
• Preparing and delivery of bids and proposals and writing technical reports and presentations, checking and reviewing reports, drawings and presentations by others.
• Driving the development of more junior energy team members across the South African offices via mentoring and provision of technical and commercial guidance.
