Senior Economic Development & ESG Analyst

Globeleq is hiring a Senior Economic Development & ESG Analyst in Cape Town, South Africa. The role involves designing and managing Economic Development and ESG reporting systems for Independent Power Producers. The analyst will collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with regulations and sustainability goals. Travel may be required. This is a full-time position.
Globeleq is an experienced international power plant owner and operator with operations in seven countries across the continent. In South Africa, Globeleq owns and operates eight renewable energy (RE) power plants in both wind and solar power which are part of the REIPPP Programme.

The Senior ED & ESG Analyst will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing systems for Economic Development (ED) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting for multiple Independent Power Producers (IPPs) in South Africa. The role involves collaborating across various departments including Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Commercial and Legal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and internal sustainability objectives.

The position will be based in Cape Town, with travel as and when necessary.
