Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as an Senior Design Engineer - Solar (Electrical) at V-TECH Renewables located in Hyderabad. The role involves tasks related to electrical design, engineering services, and power distribution for solar projects.

Responsibilities
• Carryout solar Generation estimation, Shadow analysis, Plant layout designing, pitch analysis, PV system analysis.
• Equipment Sizing and make specifications for String, Inverter selection, cable sizing, fuse selection, earthing system design, designing of cable route, cable trench & equipment layout, IDT, 33 kV & 11 kV Bay design, CT/PT selection, VCB selection, designing of Plant Protection system.
• Shall be responsible for preparation of DPR, Bill of Material, costing sheet of SPV system.
• Ensure compliances of IEC, BIS and IS standards for solar system and conduct Site and factory acceptance testing.
• Responsible for the smooth & efficient working of the Design & Engineering department.
• Interact with customer /consultants for any queries, presentations, clarifications & approval of designs.
• Attend & participate in customer/ consultant/ designer meetings whenever required.
• Coordinate with internal functions like Business Development, Projects, and SCM for all technical specifications & queries, BoQ, drawings, etc.
• Review & regularize technical deviations, design change request as raised by contractors / vendors/ consultants throughout project phases.
• Build & maintain document library & database for all designs, drawings, and project wise technical data.
• Familiarity with IEC & IS codes & practices for designing Electrical & Civil Mounting Structures.
• Responsible for Timely execution of all design work.
