About The Role
Could you play a key role in the NSW energy transition? We are currently recruiting for a Senior Construction Procurement Specialist – Renewables (Materials and Services) to join the team on a permanent basis.
This role will be based within the Essential Energy footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment.
The Senior Construction Procurement Specialist – Renewables, takes the lead to establish new supply capability required to upgrade the Essential Energy network to support the transition to renewable energy. This will require working closely with business stakeholders to develop and deliver sourcing strategies for multiple different services and materials. Your work will directly result in upgrades to sub-transmission lines, substations, switching stations and connections to renewable energy assets.
This role augments an established and high performing Procurement team in which expertise for governance, systems, sustainability and other areas is there to support. This role will help drive the strategic direction and planning for the renewable energy portfolio area, including translation of Essential Energy’s corporate goals and strategies into Procurement priorities.
With the rapid growth in the renewables sector, a proactive and innovative approach is required to solving problems, delivering outcomes and influencing stakeholders and suppliers.
About You
You are a seasoned procurement professional with over five years of experience in energy, infrastructure, or other asset-intensive industries. Your career is marked by a strong track record in developing and implementing sourcing strategies and managing source to contract processes. You are experienced with procurement systems and frameworks, with a keen ability to design and optimise processes that drive measurable performance improvements.
Your leadership style is energetic and collaborative, and you have experience navigating complex resources and priorities. You have experience guiding and influencing business teams through challenging strategic sourcing scenarios and have been regarded as a safe pair of hands. You are commercially astute, leveraging data and insights to inform decisions and deliver tangible business outcomes. Comfortable working in cross-functional project environments, you bring confidence, maturity, and the courage to challenge the status quo in pursuit of excellence.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics or Finance or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
