ACRWORLD is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager M&A to lead commercial strategies and high-impact transactions in Australia's renewable energy sector. The role requires 10+ years of experience in corporate development, M&A, and investment management. Key responsibilities include leading M&A transactions, overseeing commercial contracts, and providing market insights. We are seeking a dynamic professional with 10+ years of experience in corporate development, M&A, and investment management within the renewable energy sector or a global fund. Working closely with the Country Manager and the Development Team, you'll play a critical role in advancing the company's growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead M&A transactions, including deal sourcing, due diligence, and negotiations, to support the company’s expansion.
• Oversee key commercial contracts such as power purchase agreements (PPAs), connection agreements, and voluntary planning agreements.
• Collaborate with the development team to manage commercial risks and enhance project bankability throughout the lifecycle.
• Develop and review financial models for solar and battery storage projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Provide market insights and regulatory analysis to guide investment decisions and inform senior leadership.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in commercial, investment management, and M&A roles within the energy sector.
• Proven track record in executing complex M&A transactions and structuring project finance deals - sell side experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts relevant to energy projects, including EPC, O&M, PPAs and offtake agreements.
• Sharp analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a keen eye for risk and opportunity assessment.
• Outstanding negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging investors, financial institutions, and industry partners.
