About The Role

The Senior Commercial Advisor will contribute to enabling the establishment of a renewable gas industry in NSW to secure the long-term viability of Jemena’s gas distribution networks.

The Role Will
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enable the technical, regulatory, operational and commercial requirements of a renewable gas market.
• Provide commercial expertise and strategic direction across a range of renewable gas initiatives to enable the uptake of renewable gas into the Jemena gas networks
• Liaise with renewable gas project developers to determine the required market conditions to support the project reaching final investment decision.
• Support Western Sydney Hydrogen Hub Facility reach its strategic objectives.
• Contribute to developing market intelligence and analysis for input into strategy development, deployment and reporting. This includes monitoring market conditions and identifying emerging risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with research organisations and industry bodies to develop further understanding of renewable gas opportunities.
• Collaborate with government and internal Corporate Affairs to input into supportive renewable gas policy at both State and Federal government levels.
• Help to develop subsidiary markets to expedite the uptake of renewable gases such as biogenic carbon dioxide and digestate

About You
• Tertiary degree qualifications in engineering, business, economics or similar.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Australian renewable energy markets and regulatory regimes highly desirable
• Knowledge of carbon dioxide or digestate markets highly desired
• A clear understanding of risk management
• Demonstrated skills in strategic and/or commercial thinking
• Demonstrated technical writing and comprehension skills

This is a newly created role within Jemena - Senior Commercial Advisor – Renewable Gas.
