Job Description

ICF International is hiring a Senior Clean Energy and Infrastructure Analyst for a remote or hybrid position. The role involves conducting research and data analysis to support federal clients in enhancing the electricity system. Responsibilities include analyzing energy markets, developing analytical methods, and presenting findings. Candidates should have a Master's or PhD and 5+ years of relevant experience in clean energy and infrastructure.
About the position

The Senior Clean Energy and Infrastructure Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting federal clients' missions to enhance the infrastructure necessary for transforming the nation's electricity system. This position involves conducting in-depth research, data analysis, and market assessments related to clean energy development and grid modernization. The analyst will contribute to the creation of high-quality analytical products and services, working collaboratively on multiple projects while also directing junior staff.

Responsibilities
• Provide detailed fact finding, research, and analysis on energy-related activities related to energy markets, infrastructure, and energy/environmental policies affecting the energy sector.

• Collect, analyze, and document data for modeling or analytic projects; develop analytical methods, databases, and spreadsheet models to support policy analysis and general program support.

• Review energy-related studies, research, and market events to identify the prospects of changes in regulations and other market-related developments that may affect the nation's infrastructure.

• Create written documents that convey key analytic findings for distribution to internal/external clients and/or present findings verbally to clients.
,
• Develop reports, presentations, and other documents to convey key analytic findings to internal and external clients; presenting results; develop recommendations and interact regularly with clients.

• Work effectively with colleagues and client staff as part of a project team; work independently as needed.

Requirements
• Master's degree or PhD in Economics, Science, Engineering, or related subjects.

• 5+ years of full-time professional work experience in Clean Energy and Infrastructure or related fields (non-academic/post degree).
,
• 5+ years of full-time professional work experience (non-academic/post degree) in industry topics such as renewable energy, electric transmission and distribution infrastructure, and wholesale power markets.
,
• Experience with electric/energy grid and quantitative analysis skills including energy/power markets modeling.
,
• Experience working with DOE/prior consulting experience.
,
• US Citizenship is required.
