Job Description

The Sustainable Partnership is seeking a Senior Civil Development Engineer (Solar & BESS) in Denver, CO, to manage civil designers, project schedules, and budgets for utility-scale solar and BESS projects. Candidates should have a Civil Engineering degree and 6+ years of experience, with renewables experience preferred. This is a flexible hybrid role, also considering applicants from Durham, NC, and Phoenix, AZ. Salary ranges from $130K to $180K annually.
TSP is partnered with a marketing leading utility scale solar & BESS developer/IPP.

We are working alongside a 300 person top US developer who are expanding their civil engineering team. The firm own & operate over 4GW of solar and BESS projects with another 10GW currently in the pipeline. They have been voted as one of the top employers in their state in terms of company culture.

This developer/owner is looking to add an experienced renewables civil engineer to join the team. This role will see you managing designers & consultants to develop and evaluate site constraints, manage project schedules & budgets, and oversee the full permitting scope. You will be focusing on early stage site development up to approximately 10%.

Because this firm own & operate around 60% of their projects for the entire life span, quality is paramount. You would be joining an extremely high performing team, and you would get to see your projects built & start to generate clean energy.

You will receive direct mentorship from individuals with over 20 years in renewable engineering. This is a huge chance to expand your renewable energy expertise.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage & oversee civil designers & consultants throughout the civil development process
• Manage project schedule & budgets
• Manage analysis, development, and permitting of ground mount utility scale solar & BESS Projects
• Act as EoR for erosion & SWPPP plans
• Negotiate with, and present to AHJs

Requirements
• Undergraduate qualification in Civil Engineering
• 6+ years’ experience in large civil engineering projects
• Some experience with large scale solar & BESS is required highly desired
• PE license is highly desired

This position is open to individuals from a civil land development background, renewables experience is a plus, but not a requirement.

This is flexible hybrid role on Denver. Applicants in Durham, NC & Phoenix, AZ will also be considered.
