Your Role:

As a Senior Battery Energy Storage Technician within the PEARCE Renewables Energy Storage Systems (ESS) division, you will be crucial in supporting operations and maintenance tasks at commercial and industrial solar energy projects throughout the United States. This role involves extensive travel across the country, so a willingness to be on the move is essential. Ideal candidates should be based in California, Arizona, or Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.Conduct Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures on equipment as an authorized person and ensure compliance with LOTO protocols.Engage in daily safety and task planning discussions, including pre-task planning, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs).Maintain professional interaction with vendors and customers.Collaborate with team members to support site operations, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.Core Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of electrical experience with systems and components.At least 2 years of experience in the renewable energy field is preferred.A strong commitment to safety and an eye for detail to identify and address potential issues safely.Post-secondary education is preferred.Preferred certifications include OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to fulfill Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.Work Environment:

Safety is paramount at Pearce, and candidates must adhere to OSHA standards. Expect:

Preference for candidates based in California, Texas, or Arizona.A valid driver’s license for at least one year is required.Ability to work rotating shifts and willingness to travel extensively.Capability to stand for prolonged periods and work in ergonomically challenging positions.Adaptability to diverse climate conditions across different locations.Compensation: $25.00-$40.00 hourly, dependent on experience, plus Per Diem.
