NAB is seeking a Senior Associate for Climate Investments in Melbourne, VIC. The role involves supporting climate change initiatives through investments and partnerships, conducting market analysis, managing investment pipelines, and facilitating collaboration within the company. • Support end-to-end process for investments and partnerships including origination, transaction execution and portfolio management
• Help NABs customers and NAB transition to Net Zero by designing, developing and delivering climate change initiatives

As a Senior Associate, You Will
• Engage in the industry and meet with external market participants including founders, corporates, advisers, investors and government.
• Undertake analysis of market and technology trends linked to the climate sector.
• Own the opportunities pipeline and working with senior team members to track and report on pipeline and investment/partnership metrics.
• Conduct research, analysis and due diligence on investments/partnerships.
• Develop and maintain financial models and in-depth financial analysis to support high-impact decision-making.
• Facilitate collaboration between investments/partnerships and NAB businesses.
• Prepare presentations and reports for the investment committee, board and other stakeholders.
• Review board materials and monitor the portfolio performance.
• Provide support to existing portfolio companies.
What You’ll Bring
• At least 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role or in banking/investment banking, corporate finance, management consulting, private equity/venture capital or professional services.
• Tertiary qualified in commerce, finance, accounting, law or a related business discipline.
• Strong finance and financial modelling skills (high proficiency in Excel).
• Interest in investing and passion for driving real climate progress and achieving strong commercial returns.
• Understanding of banking and strategic risk and opportunity implications of the climate transition in financial services.
• Understanding of, and connections to, climate data, innovation and partner landscape (including emerging technology and business models).
• Results-oriented with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, with confidence in influencing, presenting and negotiation, written and verbal.
• Excellent project and stakeholder management.
• Ability to form and maintain good working relationships and build strong networks.
• Ability to demonstrate original thought, critical thinking and break down complex problems.
• High level of self-motivation, comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced collaborative environment with limited supervision.
