Our client is seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Architectural Designer to join their dynamic, fully remote team. This role will focus on sustainable urban planning and community development projects, primarily located in Nigeria and across West Africa. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio demonstrating innovative design solutions for mixed-use developments, public spaces, and resilient infrastructure. You will be instrumental in translating client visions into tangible, aesthetically pleasing, and environmentally conscious architectural concepts.

Responsibilities: Lead the conceptualization and development of architectural designs from initial brief to detailed construction documentation, ensuring alignment with sustainability principles and local building codes. Collaborate closely with clients, urban planners, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and design criteria. Produce high-quality architectural drawings, renderings, 3D models, and presentations using industry-standard software. Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and regulatory reviews to inform design decisions. Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in sustainable architecture and urban design. Manage project timelines and deliverables within a remote work setting, ensuring effective communication and coordination across geographically dispersed teams. Contribute to the firm's reputation by producing exceptional design work that addresses social, economic, and environmental considerations. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on urban planning and sustainable design. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion). Demonstrated experience in leading design teams and managing complex projects from concept to completion. Deep understanding of sustainable design strategies, green building certifications (e.g., LEED, EDGE), and resilient urban development. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex design ideas clearly and persuasively. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment, demonstrating strong self-discipline and organizational skills.
