Our client, a forward-thinking design firm, is seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Architectural Designer to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere within the US. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of sustainable housing projects, from conceptualization through to project completion. Your responsibilities will include developing innovative architectural designs, producing detailed construction documents, collaborating with clients to understand their vision, and leading design reviews. We are looking for an individual with a deep understanding of sustainable building practices, energy efficiency, and the integration of green technologies. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior designers, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets, and staying abreast of the latest architectural trends and building codes. This role requires a strong portfolio showcasing your design talent and a proven track record in delivering complex residential or mixed-use developments. You will work closely with project managers, structural engineers, and MEP consultants to ensure the successful execution of designs. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional communication and presentation skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team, and a passion for creating aesthetically pleasing and environmentally responsible spaces. Experience with BIM software and advanced rendering techniques is essential. Key Responsibilities: Develop and present innovative architectural concepts for sustainable housing projects. Produce comprehensive architectural drawings and specifications for permitting and construction. Collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to refine design solutions. Lead design coordination meetings and resolve technical challenges. Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards. Mentor and guide junior architectural staff. Manage project documentation and contribute to project management efforts. Research and implement cutting-edge sustainable design strategies and materials. Qualifications: Bachelor or Master's degree in Architecture. Minimum of 7 years of professional architectural experience. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Demonstrated expertise in sustainable design principles and certifications (e.g., LEED). Strong understanding of construction methods and materials. Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote setting.
