Our client, a highly respected architectural firm, is seeking a talented and innovative Senior Architectural Designer with a strong emphasis on sustainable design principles to join their team in Charlotte, North Carolina, US . This role is central to designing and developing environmentally responsible and aesthetically compelling architectural projects. You will be responsible for leading design development from conceptualization through to construction documentation, ensuring integration of sustainable strategies, materials, and technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of green building practices, energy efficiency, and relevant certifications (e.g., LEED). You will work closely with project teams, engineers, consultants, and clients to translate design vision into tangible built environments. Key responsibilities include creating detailed architectural drawings, renderings, and models; conducting site analysis; performing code compliance reviews; and ensuring projects meet sustainability goals. Experience with advanced design software and modeling tools is essential. We are looking for a creative individual with exceptional design sensibility, strong technical skills, and a passion for creating high-performance, sustainable buildings. This position requires excellent collaboration and communication skills, as you will be presenting design concepts and solutions to clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design development of architectural projects with a focus on sustainability and innovation. Create detailed architectural plans, elevations, sections, and details. Integrate sustainable design strategies, materials, and technologies into projects. Collaborate with engineering consultants, clients, and construction teams. Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies. Prepare design presentations and visualizations. Ensure compliance with building codes and sustainability standards (e.g., LEED). Mentor junior designers and contribute to design quality control. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture. Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in architectural design. Proven experience in sustainable design and green building practices. Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite). Strong portfolio demonstrating innovative and sustainable design solutions. Excellent understanding of building systems, materials, and construction methods. LEED accreditation (or equivalent) is highly desirable. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Experience working in a hybrid office environment.
