Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Architect to lead sustainable design initiatives and contribute to urban planning projects. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our built environment by championing eco-friendly design principles, integrating cutting-edge sustainable technologies, and contributing to visionary urban development strategies. The ideal candidate possesses a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in sustainable architecture, a deep understanding of environmental design strategies, and a passion for creating resilient and human-centered spaces.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design conceptualization and development of architectural projects with a strong emphasis on sustainability and LEED certification. Integrate passive design strategies, renewable energy systems, and environmentally conscious materials into architectural solutions. Collaborate with urban planners, engineers, and consultants to develop integrated design approaches for complex projects. Conduct thorough site analysis and context studies to inform design decisions. Prepare detailed architectural drawings, 3D models, and visualizations using advanced design software. Mentor and guide junior architects and design staff through virtual collaboration. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in sustainable design technologies, materials, and building performance metrics. Contribute to the firm's thought leadership in sustainable architecture and urban design. Engage with clients and stakeholders to articulate design vision and technical strategies. Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, accessibility standards, and environmental regulations. Participate in design reviews and critiques, providing constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
Master of Architecture degree from an accredited institution. Architectural license in at least one US state, with NCARB certification preferred. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on sustainable design and urban planning. LEED AP accreditation (BD+C or equivalent) is mandatory. Proficiency in architectural design software, including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and rendering tools. Strong understanding of building science, environmental systems, and passive design strategies. Experience with urban design principles and master planning is highly desirable. Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills. Ability to lead design teams and manage multiple projects concurrently in a remote setting. A portfolio demonstrating exceptional design talent and a commitment to sustainability is required. Familiarity with various green building rating systems beyond LEED is a plus.
