Our client is seeking a highly talented and innovative Senior Architect with a specialization in sustainable design to join their esteemed practice in Sokoto, Sokoto, NG. This role requires a visionary leader who can integrate environmentally conscious principles into the core of architectural design, from conceptualization to construction documentation. You will be responsible for leading design teams, developing innovative sustainable solutions, and ensuring that projects meet high standards for energy efficiency, resource conservation, and occupant well-being. Key responsibilities include conducting site analyses with a focus on environmental factors, researching and specifying sustainable materials and technologies, developing energy modeling strategies, and collaborating with engineers and consultants to achieve integrated design goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio showcasing sustainable architecture projects, exceptional design and visualization skills, and a deep understanding of green building certifications (e.g., LEED, GRIHA). Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential for engaging with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Responsibilities: Lead the design process for architectural projects with a focus on sustainability. Develop innovative and environmentally responsible design concepts. Integrate sustainable building principles, materials, and technologies into designs. Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies related to sustainable design. Collaborate with clients, engineers, and consultants to achieve integrated project goals. Prepare high-quality design presentations and visualizations. Oversee the development of construction documents and specifications. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards. Mentor junior architects and contribute to team development. Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in sustainable architecture and green building practices. Manage project timelines and contribute to project budget oversight. Qualifications: Master's degree in Architecture with a specialization in Sustainable Design or equivalent. Minimum of 8 years of progressive architectural experience, with a significant focus on sustainable and green building projects. Registered Architect with relevant professional body in Nigeria. Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp) and rendering tools. Demonstrated experience with energy modeling software and sustainability assessment tools. Knowledge of green building certifications and standards. Exceptional design sensibility, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership, communication, and client management abilities. Ability to work effectively on-site in Sokoto, Sokoto, NG and collaborate with project teams. A passion for creating aesthetically pleasing and environmentally responsible architecture.
