Lime is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data Science & Analytics team! In this role, you will report to the Manager of Analytics Engineering & BI and play a critical role in enhancing developer productivity across our data ecosystem. Your primary focus will be partnering with consumers of our data warehouse to ensure that our analytics infrastructure is scalable, performant, and easy to use for data professionals across the company.

Lime is at an exciting inflection point as we rapidly scale our data capabilities to support business growth. As we transition to a more structured, high-performing organization, we need someone who can immediately contribute by writing clear, efficient SQL and optimizing our data workflows. The ideal candidate has experience modeling B2C data using dbt and a deep understanding of ELT best practices. This is a unique opportunity to have an outsized impact—by improving data accessibility, enabling self-service analytics, and driving the efficiency of Lime’s data teams.

What you’ll do:
• Build and maintain scalable analytics infrastructure, including dbt transformations, legacy pipelines, and Tableau reporting.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL transformations to create reliable, high-performance datasets for reporting and self-service analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (data scientists, product managers, and software engineers) to ensure analytics solutions align with business needs.
• Enforce data governance best practices, including documentation, lineage tracking, and data quality validation.
• Enable self-service analytics by structuring BI tools effectively and providing clear data documentation.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve automation, orchestration, and overall analytics workflows.

About you:
• Expert reader and writer of SQL code with experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data modeling, or related fields.
• Experience with modern ELT best practices, especially dbt core.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable data models.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Experience:
• Experience modeling B2C data.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow.
