About the role

Gryphon is looking for highly motivated accounting professionals to join our growing team. The Senior Accountant position is an intermediate/senior associate level position open to professionals looking to continue developing expertise in Fund Administration and accounting. What you'll do
• Lead the monthly/quarterly financial closes in QuickBooks/Allvue for multiple fund clients
• Prepare and review supporting work papers for capital calls, distributions, financial statements, etc.
• Create, develop, and maintain business relationships with clients, management, other service providers and key stakeholders
• Assisting in the development and training of new team members
• Leading the service workflow for multiple clients, allocating work to staff members, and driving deliverables through review to completion
• Maintain investor and investment information
• Assist with calculation and tracking of Fund performance metrics
• Assistance with treasury services, including accounts payable, investment funding, intercompany invoicing, etc.
• Coordination of audit processes
• Assist with client onboarding
• Special projects as assigned

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 2+ years experience in accounting, with a focus on alternative investments funds – Venture Capital/Fund Administration experience a plus
• CPA designation and/or MBA a plus - progress towards this is great!
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and work papers
• Deadline oriented with ability to complete assigned tasks independently.
• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to interact with others at various levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills
• Proven ability to work as part of a team
