The Scheduler provides daily production schedule to all manufacturing areas to ensure customer product requirements are met. This position examines raw material and finished goods inventory balance to facilitate efficient, cost-effective manufacturing of products. This position will provide ship dates in accordance with scheduling parameters for customers in order to meet demand.

Compensation: $60,000 - 80,000

Responsibilities:
• Coordinates information flow to the operating departments and production schedules as well as liaison between sales and production with regards to changes in the schedule.
• Updates daily schedule to balance efficiencies and customer needs; reports daily metrics to Plant Management.
• Responsible for customer on-time shipment performance.
• Responsible for executing and maintaining the monthly plan (SIOP) and all associated T-7 initiatives to achieve on-time shipments to meet internal and external needs.
• Drive efficiency across the supply chain through planning a production schedule that anticipates and adapts to variable demand requirements in support of the operating plan (SIOP).
• Recognize forward risks in the supply plan (SIOP) and accurately communicate implications with proposed solutions.
• Determines the work schedule based upon customer orders and the availability of raw materials & production capacity.
• Recommends and assists Plant Management for long-range capacity requirement planning, defining capital equipment and manpower needs.
• Ensures compliance with established facility safety policies and procedures and other regulations (IE: GMP, FSSC, HAACP) as applicable.
• Interacts and behaves professionally. Treats all associates respectfully and professionally while maintaining company code of ethics.
• Effective communication with all levels of management.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Previous manufacturing production scheduling experience required; printing industry experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate with other associates, customers, and vendors.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Organized and thorough when giving and receiving information. Giving and receiving information effectively.
• Basic knowledge of computer and business operating systems.
