About the role

The SCADA & Control Systems Engineer - Gas Pipelines is an enterprise role that will support the operational management of the Gas Pipelines SCADA and Control Systems and will support the asset management of the capability across markets.

The Control Systems Engineer – Gas Pipelines will deliver the operational design, configuration, testing, commissioning, administration, maintenance and support of the Gas Pipelines Control Systems including SCADA, PLCs, RTUs and Historian Systems in order to maintain the integrity and availability of the Gas Pipelines Control Systems. The position will provide operational support to ensure the critical Gas Control Systems are highly available and secure.

Key Responsibilities include
• Measure and review asset performance and condition
• Identify risk and develop effective and efficient controls
• Contribute to the development of opportunity briefs, mandates, business cases
• Ensure SCADA and related systems remain available at all times, and are capable of continuously monitoring and controlling assets
• Operational support for SCADA related asset incidents, including support for the availability and correct functioning of SCADA and related systems and capability

About You
• Solid experience in SCADA and Control Systems for Process Control Systems.
• Sound knowledge or experience in Australian energy utilities/services provider and contractor market
• Track record of delivering Engineering and technical functions including regulatory compliance and risk management
• Tertiary Qualifications and/or higher in Engineering specifically within a Control Systems context (or similar)
• Certified Professional Engineer or Registered Professional Engineer
