Job Description

The West Virginia Company is hiring a Registered Sanitarian in Charleston, WV, requiring a degree and relevant experience. The role involves enforcing sanitation laws, public health services, and may require travel. Applicants need a valid driver's license and certification as a Registered Sanitarian. The position offers a salary range of $34,688–$64,172 per year and is a full-time role.
Requires: Degree plus 2 years, or Masters plus 1 year. Enforces environmental and public health sanitation laws. May perform as a specialist at a local or regional health department or at the agency level. May perform as a member of a health facility licensure and certification survey team. May be responsible for environment health and public health sanitation services for a single county. Responsible for the effectiveness of various sanitation services and meeting general environmental health and public health sanitation needs. Public contact and considerable travel are required.

Training:
Graduation from a regionally accredited four-year college or university. Diploma (copy) must be submitted. Your application will not be processed without verification documents.

Experience:
Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a sanitarian.
Substitution:
A master's degree from a regionally accredited four year college or university in public health, environmental science, chemistry, biology, physical science or agri culture may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Special Requirements:
A valid drivers license and avail ability of an automobile for continuous use may be a requisite for employment. Certification as a Registered Sanitarian by the West Virginia Board of Registration for Sanitarians.
