About the position

The Sampling Technician / Environmental Consultant at JLM Environmental is responsible for conducting thorough inspections for hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead, mold, and radon across various properties in Southern California. This role emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and adherence to safety protocols while providing clients with informed assessments and detailed reports on environmental hazards.

Responsibilities
• Provide a well-informed and thorough survey of the client's property following established sampling procedures.

• Perform surveys for environmental hazards such as asbestos, lead, mold, radon, methamphetamine residue, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

• Legibly and completely fill out a Chain-of-Custody (COC) form for each inspection.

• Prepare inspection reports based on the conditions observed at the job site with in-depth notes.

• Confidently answer clients' questions and concerns in a respectful and informed manner.

• Perform inspections in a timely manner to maintain scheduled appointments.

Requirements
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. (Required)

• Asbestos Certification
,
• Cal/OSHA Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) Certification (Preferred)

• CDPH Sampling Technician License (Preferred)
,
• NRSB Radon Measurement Specialist or Technician Certification (Preferred)

• Must maintain a clean DMV driving record.
