Heidrich's Colorado Tree Farm Nursery is seeking a Sales team member in Colorado Springs. The role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting retail and wholesale customers, and maintaining the nursery. Candidates should have 2-3 years of sales experience, be knowledgeable about plants (preferred but not required), and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time/part-time seasonal position with various benefits.

Heidrich’s Colorado Tree Farm Nursery is a family owned and operated Nursery in Colorado Springs. We cater both to retail customers as well as to some of the best landscapers in our local market. We are a fast-growing nursery that focuses on selling the highest quality nursery stock, providing exceptional customer service, and helping our team flourish. Requirements for Sales Team at Heidrich’s Colorado Tree Farm Nursery
• 2-3 years of sales and customer service.
• Ability to be on your feet outside for up to 9 hour shifts. You will get your steps in, and a wicked farmers tan!
• Some knowledge of Trees, Shrubs, Perennials, and Ornamental Grasses that thrive in our area is preferred buy not required. We are willing to teach this, and offer annual training.
• Must have reliable Transportation.
• Must be proficient in Google Docs, specifically Sheets and Docs. Must also be proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Must be able to work Saturdays during our busy season. April-July, and our Christmas Tree Season. The nursery is closed all but two Sundays for Christmas Trees. Full time employees have Sundays plus one weekday off during the busy season.
• Must be able to work in a busy fast pace, sometimes hectic environment.

Responsibilities for Sales Team at Heidrich’s Colorado Tree Farm Nursery
• Providing top notch customer service to both retail and wholesale customers. This includes showing customers the verities of trees and plants we sell, tagging orders, explaining the delivery/planting process, and answering basic questions.
• Learning characteristics about the trees and plants we sell. How big they get, water requirements, flower color, fall leaf color, etc.
• Learning our POS System so you can check inventory.
• Help organize, unload, stock and put away in greenhouses and displays.
• Assist in other duties including but not limited to stocking hard goods, answering phone calls, returning voicemails, cleaning, keeping the nursery organized and tidy, and other jobs around the nursery.
• Work in harmony with other team members throughout the nursery.
• Work towards continuing your education! We will pay for and pay you for working to complete your CCNP (Colorado Certified Nursery Professional) certification. Once you pass the exam we offer a bonus for this.

Job Type: Full-Time/Part Time Seasonal.

Pay: $16-$21 per hour. Annual Bonus for those that qualify. If you have previous Nursery or Garden Center you could start on the higher end of this range.

Schedule:
• We are a very seasonal business. From April-September we do most of our business with the busiest time from April-June. We are open six days a week. We are looking for team members who can work Saturdays during that busy push from April-June. Other times of the year (not during Christmas Trees) we rotate Saturdays off. We are CLOSED all but two Sundays during our Christmas Tree season. We are closed approx. two weeks for Christmas and New Year. In January and February, we relax and recover with only 3–4 day work weeks.
• Overtime is available during our busy season.
• Shifts are 8am-5:15pm most of year. 9am-4pm in the winter. During Christmas Trees shift vary based on weather.
• Seasonal Staff: We do offer part time/seasonal shifts as well. The pay range and benefits for those positions will be different than our full time/full year team members.
