Job Description

The Sales Support Manager at Sustainable Energy First will assist the Growth Team by managing data, streamlining processes, and driving efficiencies to enhance sales performance. Key responsibilities include overseeing reporting cycles, supporting lead generation, handling administrative tasks, and providing data insights. Candidates should have experience in project management or sales support, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The position offers a hybrid and flexible working environment.
The Sales Support Manager role is all about helping our Growth Team by keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. From managing data and streamlining processes to driving efficiencies that boost sales performance, you’ll be detail-oriented backbone of the team.

Your work will make a real difference to how we operate, helping us support our team, exceed goals, and bring in new opportunities.

Keeping Everything on Track
• You’ll manage and refine the processes that keep our Growth Team work in an efficient way.
• Stay on top of daily, weekly, and monthly feedback/reporting cycles to make sure everyone’s in the loop.
• Compile key insights like appointment data, performance metrics, and trends to share with stakeholders.

Turning Leads into Wins
• Support lead generation efforts through tools like Cognism, events, and webinars – and ensure the Business Development pipeline is always moving forward.
• Keep things organised by tracking and reporting on all the progress made with leads, campaigns, and conversions. For example, working on Mid-Market referral and managing the inbox query.

Supporting the Team
• Be the go-to person for admin tasks like diary management, expense claims, and preparing documents.
• Keep meetings running smoothly – from minute-taking to ensuring action points are followed up on.
• Work closely with the Growth team, making sure all the fine details (like credit checks and tender documents) are handled perfectly.

Building Better Processes
• Prepare data and slides for forecast meetings, internal reviews, and as required– making complex information easy to understand.
• Monitor the impact of frameworks, partnerships and Business Development activities, using data to celebrate wins and identify areas for growth.
• Help ensure fairness in how appointments and tasks are distributed, providing insights to support team performance.

Being a Data Hero
• Bring clarity and simplicity to the Growth Teams performance with regular, detailed MI reporting that highlights opportunities to improve.

Requirements
• Experience in project management or sales support
• A natural flair for organisation, planning, and time management
• A sharp eye for detail and strong numerical skills to keep data accurate and insights meaningful
• Confidence with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with people across the business
• Commercial acumen to connect your work to the bigger picture
• A professional, discreet, and trustworthy approach
• A good understanding of GDPR (because keeping data safe is non-negotiable)
