Job Description

Canadian Solar is hiring a Sales Manager for Power Electronics in Spain, responsible for driving sales of solar inverters and storage solutions. The role involves customer acquisition, relationship building, and collaboration with various teams. Candidates should have strong technical knowledge, at least 5 years of experience in the solar sector, and be fluent in English and Spanish. The position offers a hybrid work model with flexible hours and opportunities for professional development.
We are seeking a Sales Manager Power Electronics, to join our newly established sales team dedicated to Energy Storage solutions in the EMEA region.

In this role, you will be driving sales in Spain. Key responsibilities:
• Responsible for the continued development of the solar inverter and storage product pipeline in Spain to achieve individual and company sales goals.
• Analysis and acquisition of new customers in the Power Electronics segment and further development of existing accounts in the B2B business set up.
• Building sustainable customer relationships through regular on-site visits.
• Regular presence at trade fairs and attending customer-related events.
• Profound knowledge of own and competitor Power Electronics product portfolios.
• Negotiating all contractual conditions; preparations of quotes.
• Strong collaboration with the Power Electronics Business Development and the Technical Service teams.
• Regularly tracking sales targets and reporting progress to sales management.
• Monitoring market developments and making reliable forecasts.
• Interface to order processing regarding supply, delivery, and payments.
• Proactive attitude, pragmatic mind set and possessing a sense of urgency
• Result driven and hands on work approach with a down to earth mentality
• Ability to work autonomously with high reliability, used to work under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to comfortably interact with people at all levels of the organization, including executive management in an international environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to understand customers business
• Fluent in English & Spanish,
• any other languages will be an advantage
• Madrid (Spain) or remote in Spain
• Degree in Engineering preferred, alternatively business administration with experience in technical field.
• Good technical skills in power electronics products (inverters and energy storage solutions)
• Well-connected in the solar business with at least 5 years working experience
• Strong network with existing installers and EPC customers in Spain
• Experience with value selling and designing an account penetration strategy/plan
• Familiar with the pursuing interests of the players in the different solar sectors
• High proficiency of MS Office applications and Sales Force.com
