Sales Manager - Newcastle

Smart Energy Group is seeking a Sales Manager for their Newcastle team to drive growth in residential and commercial solar and battery storage systems. The role involves managing and coaching the sales team, developing sales strategies, and building client relationships. Due to continued growth, we’re seeking a Sales Manager to join our team and drive our business forward.

Role Overview:

As Sales Manager for our Newcastle team, you will drive growth in residential and commercial solar and battery storage systems. You’ll manage and coach the sales team, and ensure we meet our revenue targets. You'll develop effective sales strategies, foster a positive team culture, and play a key role in expanding our customer base. The ideal candidate will have a passion for renewable energy, strong sales leadership experience, and a track record of achieving ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets
• With your existing Sales experience you will be trained
• Develop and implement sales strategies that drive growth and increase revenue
• Monitor and analyse performance metrics to optimise sales processes and team effectiveness
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying new market opportunities
• Train and develop your team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to succeed
• Manage daily operations, including team retention, promotions, and ensuring company compliance
• Work closely with the Relationship Manager and HR team to ensure recruitment, training, and team development align with company goals
• Exciting opportunity to establish and build a brand new team from scratch

What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience in sales management and leading a team to success.
• Strong understanding of sales processes and ability to implement effective strategies
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate and guide the team
• A passion for renewable energy and the desire to make an impact in the industry
• Ability to travel to meet clients and support the team
• Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets, preferable in the Renewable Energy industry.

What will your first month look like?

This is hybrid role that consists of Sales Management along with direct Sales, which will require you to convert appointments into sales Face to Face with residential homeowners. Under the training of Newcastle Relationship Manager, you will be fast tracked the sales process to be able to competently convert yours teams leads into sales.
