Sales Engineering is a key role at Fluence, critical to our continued growth and success. As a Sales Engineer, you will be the technical lead throughout the sales process for some of the largest and most challenging projects in the energy storage industry. This is a customer-facing role, and also requires interaction with many different groups internally including Product, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Project Execution.






What You’ll Do:



Drive technical sales for energy storage projects across South East Asia (SEA) primarily for Philippines, and supporting Taiwan and Japan.
Collaborate with global teams in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
Lead proposal evaluations and optimize system configurations.
Ensure compliance with local standards and customer requirements.
Partner with Sales on contract negotiations and technical scoping.
Provide technical presentations and technical workshops.
Work closely with procurement and project teams for downstream optimization (Balance of Plant) and seamless delivery.
Capture customer requirements to influence product roadmaps.Be the go-to technical expert for SEA projects!




What does the ideal candidate look like?



A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Preferred)
Minimum 2-6 years’ work experience in energy storage, solar, wind or other power generation. Experience in international markets will be regarded favourably.
Ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate results
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with contract negotiations and familiarity with key contract areas
Knowledge of applicable International standards, codes and regulations
Entrepreneurial drive and ability to prioritize and execute many tasks in parallel
Willing and able to travel internationally, up to 25% of the time
