About the position
The Environmental, Health & Safety Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and environmental compliance of the plant operations. The technician will administer various safety programs, educate staff, and conduct inspections to uphold safety regulations and practices.
Responsibilities
• Administer and maintain effective occupational health, safety, environmental, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene programs.

• Update and implement plant programs for the prevention and control of EHS risks.
,
• Educate, motivate, and train leadership and staff in safe work procedures.
,
• Assist in managing personal protective equipment and safety equipment programs.
,
• Coordinate plant safety and environmental education and training programs.
,
• Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
,
• Assist in conducting risk assessments and developing safe operating procedures.
,
• Conduct frequent safety and environmental inspections and procedural audits.
,
• Ensure all incidents are promptly reported to the EHS Manager.
,
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, EHS Management, Environmental Engineering/Sciences, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.

• Developing presentation and communication skills.
,
• Computer skills, data analysis, and reporting tools proficiency.
,
• Ability to carry tasks/projects through to completion with limited oversight.
