Enerven is seeking a Safety, Quality and Environment Advisor in Adelaide, Australia. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety standards in construction and renewable energy projects, conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations. Candidates should have a Diploma in WHS, strong safety management experience, and excellent communication skills. The position requires on-site support and includes regular travel to various sites, with some overtime expected.

About the role As an experienced safety professional in the fields of construction, energy, or contracting, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the energy and renewables industry. The SQE Advisor will play a vital role in ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of compliance to legislation, policy and procedures, through advice, coaching, monitoring and reporting. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Assist with the implementation and management of Enerven's WHS Management System
• Provide advice in accordance with relevant WHS legislation, Australian Standards, directives, processes, procedures and guidelines;
• Conduct safety & environmental risk assessments;
• Ensure mitigation processes for identified hazards are in place and communicated;
• Conduct audits, inspections and observations in accordance with project scope;
• Monitoring of contractors and adherence to client requirements
• Facilitate, develop and provide relevant safety information and communications to site leadership team for toolbox briefings, inductions and prestart briefings;
• Conduct incident investigations, undertake WHS reporting and project analysis.
• Provide monthly reports as required by project, client and Leader
Qualifications
This role will provide on-site support to our leader workers and contractors to effectively manage safety across our operations. Some overtime will be required for this role as well as regular travel between sites across the metropolitan and regional areas. A company vehicle will be provided. About you You will be a dynamic, engaging, hands on safety professional with an excellent understanding of construction safety management and able to work effectively in field environments Specific qualifications and experience required include:
• Diploma in WHS and/or the equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through experience
• Current drivers licence – car
• Experience working in the electrical and telecommunications industries is desirable
• Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices, preferably within the energy and infrastructure industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams at all levels.
• Qualifications and experience in root cause analysis investigations
