Position Summary & Responsibilities

The Roustabout will be responsible for safely and efficiently supporting the well plugging and abandonment team in their operations throughout West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a physically demanding outdoor environment. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring well sites are efficiently plugged and fully restored to meet environmental and regulatory standards.

Special focus will be placed on:
• Assist in building and preparing well sites for plugging operations, including clearing debris, setting up equipment, and ensuring site readiness.
• Operate, maintain, and transport tools and equipment necessary for plugging and reclamation activities, including backhoes, skid loaders, dozers, mulchers, hand tools, and power tools.
• Support well plugging operations by handling materials, assisting with cementing and plugging, and monitoring safety protocols.
• Perform post-plugging reclamation work, including removing equipment, grading and leveling the land, planting vegetation, and ensuring proper site restoration.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and safely, following company policies and environmental regulations and ensuring seamless operations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, equipment usage, and progress reports as required.
• Conduct daily inspections and perform routine maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or issues for repair or replacement.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines and promote a culture of safety among the team.
• Report any safety hazards, near misses, or incidents promptly.
• Attend and participate in all safety meetings and trainings.
• Complete required work plans and job safety analysis.
• Operate company vehicle in a safe and lawful manner and in accordance with company policy.
• Perform other tasks and support functions per management discretion.

Position Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license.
• CDL a plus.
• Knowledge of and commitment to safety procedures and regulations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness and ability to work in various weather and well site conditions.
• Willingness and ability to work in physically demanding conditions.
• Willingness to travel to remote well sites and stay away from home when necessary.
• Experience working as a laborer, including proficiency with all types of tools and equipment.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of DOT regulations preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
• The individual must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses, respirators, earplugs, steel-toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the location and work performed.
• Walking, stepping, climbing or otherwise moving from one location on the job site to another, and normally involves physically getting into and out of equipment through the use of vertically mounted ladders up to and including 10’ or more in height.
• Visually seeing driving operations well (either naturally or with corrective lenses).
• Standing, stooping kneeling, squatting, climbing and sitting.
• Repetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of work.
• Working at elevated heights.
• Lifting 75 lb. or more objects occasionally.
• Carrying 75 lb. or more objects occasionally.
• Adapting to outdoor conditions and prolonged exposure to sometimes adverse weather conditions.
• Remaining calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident.
• Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions.
