Job Description
GreenWaste is hiring a Roll Off Driver in San Jose, CA, to deliver, exchange, and pick up debris boxes and compactors. The role requires a valid commercial driver's license, safety compliance, customer interaction, and navigation skills. Candidates should be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various weather conditions. The position is not remote and involves working Monday through Friday with exposure to outdoor environments.

We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Roll Off Driver to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our GW Debris Services office at 675 Los Esteros Rd. in San Jose and limited job-related travel may be required.
Position Summary:
GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Roll Off Driver to provide support to one or more facilities. This role's main function will be to deliver, exchange, and pick up debris boxes and compactors.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Use route navigation apps and maps to service bins in different cities.
• Ensure all assigned equipment is safe, clean, and operable for collection.
• Complete pre and post trip inspections daily to ensure safety and compliance.
• Interact with customers in a professional manner.
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out and turned in correctly daily.
• Comply with all safety requirements and Company policies.
• Wear required and assigned PPE to ensure safety.
• Maintain a current valid driver's license Class A or B.
• Ability to read and review daily work orders and route accordingly.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to work well with other employees in a team environment and communicate to ensure safety.
• Ability to operate and maintain assigned vehicle.
• Interact with customers and community in a professional manner.
• Ability to drive in different weather including fog, low visibility, rain, and light snow.
• Ability to drive in high traffic conditions.
• Ability to read maps and navigate through streets to provide collection service.
• Ability to communicate with dispatch and supervisors.
• Knowledge and experience operating rail debris box truck is preferred.
Qualifications:
• Current and valid commercial driver's license (Class A or B) and medical certificate
• Acceptable DMV record and acceptable DOT record
Language Skill:
• Proficiency in English and/or Spanish
Physical Demands:
• Ability to work early mornings
• Make sure to list the physical demands, such as push, pull, standing
• Ability to physically push, pull and lift objects up to 75 lbs.
• Constant bending and twisting
• Frequent standing, walking and semi-frequent sitting
• Constant climbing in and out of equipment to grab carts
Work Environment:
Typical work week is Monday through Friday. Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Ability to work in setting with frequent changes in equipment, start/end time, service city/town and routes based on the operational needs for the day and or week.
Compensation and Benefits:
Financial compensation will be commensurate with applicable experience. GreenWaste offers a competitive benefits package, including paid time off, holiday pay, 401K benefits, FSA, and full employee coverage for medical, dental and vision insurance.
