Job Description
Montana Conservation Corps is seeking Fall Field Crew Members for physically demanding conservation projects in the Northern Rockies and Plains. Crew members will camp while working on tasks like trail maintenance and watershed restoration. This entry-level position offers valuable skills, a living allowance of $920 biweekly, and an AmeriCorps Education Award of $1,374.60. Applicants must be 17-30 years old (up to 35 for veterans) and willing to travel for up to 10 days.
Montana Conservation Corps is hiring Fall Field Crew Members! Crew Members and their crews will camp while working on physically demanding conservation projects across the Northern Rockies and Plains. Project work includes, but is not limited to, trail maintenance and construction, watershed restoration, planting, backcountry work, forest fuel reduction, and more! Crew members walk away with valuable hands-on technical skills and applicable job skills like communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills that will help them achieve success in a wide variety of careers. Living Allowance : $920.00 biweekly before taxes are taken out
AmeriCorps Education Award : $1,374.60 upon completion of term

Ages 17-30, up to 35 for military veterans.
US Citizen, National, or Legal Permanent Resident.
Strong service ethic and desire to serve the community and the environment.
Ability to be away on overnight trips for up to 10 days at a time.
Ensure safety is the top priority during all MCC activities and projects; Accomplish project goals to the standards and satisfaction of MCC, Crew Leaders, and project partners/technical advisors.
Follow all MCC policies and procedures.
Create a healthy and supportive crew environment.
Perform designated crew roles.
Participate in all elements of the MCC Member Development program, education, and crew activities to the best of their ability.
Attend, assist, or lead MCC service days and other MCC events, help organize and implement service projects when possible.
Work alongside youth and adult volunteers on projects and provide leadership when possible.
Attend at least one public meeting and volunteer with a local non-profit.
Provide information for evaluation of Crew Leaders, including positive feedback and areas of improvement.
