Haley & Aldrich is a leading engineering and environmental consulting firm seeking a highly motivated Project Resilience Specialist to join our expanding in-house resilience team. As a technical support role, you will work with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment.

The selected candidate will join the Resilience Team to support existing and upcoming resilience projects for large corporate clients, developers, and public agency clients. Projects include infrastructure resilience planning, emergency transportation planning, disaster response planning, building, infrastructure, and campus multi-hazard and vulnerability assessments, climate adaptation and resilience planning, development and design.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Project Resilience Specialist/Resilience Consultant to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. The selected candidate will join the Resilience Team to support existing and upcoming resilience projects for large corporate clients, developers, and public agency clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to our multidisciplinary teams consisting of planners, scientists, and engineers among others on projects that include seismic hazards, wildfire risks, coastal studies, hydrology and hydraulics, flood risk management, and nature-based solutions on a range of technical deliverables including risk and vulnerability assessments, solution development and evaluation, and implementation planning.
• Gather and analyze data, including relevant geohazards and climate change data to support the development of technical deliverables.
• Support capacity building activities including development of decision-support tools, strategy development, and community/partner engagement.
• Interpret and apply applicable local, regional, state, and federal climate adaptation and resilience guidance, policy, or regulations.
• Provide other research and writing tasks as necessary to support a wide range of climate adaptation and resilience planning tasks and overall plan development.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental or climate science, environmental policy and planning, natural resource management, geotechnical, civil or environmental engineering, geology, oceanography, or a closely related discipline.
• Recent experience consulting on vulnerability and risk assessments that consider an array of climate and geohazard impacts, including sea level rise, precipitation, wildfire, temperature, seismic and development of adaptation and resilience strategies to reduce impacts.
• Preferrably 3+ years of experience developing climate risk assessments and adaptation plans.
• Preferrably 2+ years of experience in a consulting firm or similar fluid client-driven workplace.
