Resilience Planning Manager

Tetra Tech is hiring a Resilience Planning Manager in Sacramento, CA. The role requires expertise in hazard mitigation, climate adaptation, and community resilience. Key responsibilities include developing mitigation plans, facilitating government meetings, and managing data sets for risk reduction. Candidates should have a Master's Degree in a related field, AICP certification, and at least 5 years of relevant experience. This is a full-time position.
About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned Hazard Mitigation and Resilience Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of community resilience, climate adaptation, hazard mitigation, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and coordinate input to a wide range of mitigation and adaptation plans
• Facilitate meetings with local government and public outreach
• Review local plans, ordinances, policies, and update hazard mitigation plans accordingly
• Manage large data sets and identify mitigation projects to reduce natural hazard risk
• Conduct capacity building activities including developing decision support tools, strategy development, and community engagement

Requirements:
• Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Sustainability, Climate Change, or related field
• Certified by American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) or working toward certification
• At least 5 years of demonstrated knowledge of mitigation and resilience planning, land use/general planning, and federal/state funding mechanisms
• Proven track record for project management of planning projects and excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
