Black & Veatch is seeking a Resilience Planning Leader in Charleston, SC, to focus on hazard mitigation, disaster preparedness, and climate adaptation. Resilience Planning Leader
This is an exciting opportunity for a Resilience Planning Leader focused on hazard mitigation, disaster preparedness and recovery, and climate adaptation/resilience planning throughout the United States.
This leader will be a prominent ambassador for BV's resilience practice; support business development, provide technical expertise and guidance to projects, and support, catalyze, and unify our regional resiliency leaders to form a seamless national team that fuels the growth of our resilience initiative.
With a focus on developing BVs presence in the resilience market, this leader will consult directly with new and existing clients to strategize and implement climate adaptation/mitigation, vulnerability assessments, hazard mitigation planning, coastal and sea level rise strategies, and resilient infrastructure system solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering, science, economics or relevant field from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
Minimum 25 years of related work experience and 25+ years of planning, design, and implementation experience related to resilience, disaster preparedness & recovery, coastal and sea level rise impacts are required.
Experience in a client organization and/or client-facing role, demonstrated success in business development and overall initiative leadership, and experience with Federal approaches and tools to assess risks and provide hazard mitigation, climate adaptation, disaster recovery, and resilience strategic planning and implementation are also necessary.
Familiarity with federal, state, and local funding sources related to resilience is a plus.
