Job Description

The University of Sussex is hiring a Research Fellow in Sustainable Healthcare Procurement for a fixed-term contract in Brighton, UK. The role involves conducting research on modern slavery in healthcare supply chains, requiring a PhD in a relevant field and project management experience. About the role

The purpose of this PDRA role is to conduct and coordinate research, qualitative data analysis, policy engagement and dissemination for a nine-month project focused on ‘Evaluating the effectiveness of the Employer Pays Principle (EPP) in preventing modern slavery in healthcare supply chains’. The post-holder

will support an interdisciplinary academic team and an ethical trade consultancy firm in this work.

About you

Ideally, you will have a PhD in economic geography, development studies, labour studies, corporate social responsibility, human rights, or related social science discipline. You will have project management experience and the skills to manage your own workload and, at times, support other colleagues. You will have the ability to undertake high-quality qualitative research and experience working in modern slavery and/or healthcare procurement.
