Job Description

Dalhousie University is seeking a SSHRC Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Business and Climate Change to focus on the ocean-climate nexus. This tenure-stream position, at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, involves leading research that promotes climate-conscious economic growth. The Faculty of Management at Dalhousie University invites applications for a SSHRC Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Business at the Ocean Climate Nexus. As a leading scholar, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with Canada's Ocean Supercluster and lead impactful research on the role of the ocean-climate nexus and associated socioeconomic opportunities and risks.

Responsibilities

You will be appointed in a tenure-stream position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in one of the eight departments in the Faculty based on disciplinary fit. Your research will focus on developing climate-conscious solutions that foster economic growth, jobs, and ocean health.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must hold or be close to completion of a PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant social science discipline. This position is designated to candidates who self-identify as women or members of another gender equity-seeking group. We encourage applications from candidates who are passionate about advancing ocean and climate research.
