Job Description
Karbone Inc. is seeking a Research Associate for its London office, focusing on renewable energy and decarbonization markets. The role involves building multivariate models, analyzing legislation, composing deliverables, and networking with industry participants. Candidates should have 2-5+ years of experience in quantitative modeling and a background in renewable energy. Advanced Excel and Python skills are required, along with strong communication abilities.

Due to growth-driven expansion of its Research Group, Karbone is seeking a Research Associate to join its London office.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain multivariate models for all classes of environmental commodities (e.g. Guarantees of Origin), power, capacity, and renewable fuels markets across the UK and Europe.
• Track and analyze pertinent legislation, policy, and regulation impacting energy and environmental markets.
• Compose ongoing and bespoke deliverables for in-house and client usage, including updates and content contributions to Karbone's subscription-based data product; Deliverables include but are not limited to forecasts, valuations, due diligence, etc.
• Build and maintain relationships with key regulatory and market participants, as well as third-party media and analysts.
• Represent Karbone at industry events to establish and grow new relationships.
Qualifications:
• 2-5+ years in quantitative modeling, research/analysis, and client deliverable composition
• Industry experience in renewable energy and/or environmental markets required
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Energy Management, Environmental Science, Mathematics, or Statistics preferred; Graduate degree a plus
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Python skills required; VBA, SQL and additional coding skills a plus; training in data science highly desired
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and strong analytical perspective
