UNSW is seeking a full-time Research Associate in Carbon Nanomaterials for Biofuel Cells, based in Kensington, Sydney, Australia. Research Associate in Carbon Nanomaterials for Biofuel Cells

Join the School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW as a Research Associate. This role involves conducting research in nanomaterials, focusing on designing and implementing biofuel cells based on carbon nanomaterials. You will work independently and collaboratively, contributing to scientific publications, conferences, supervising HDR students, and engaging with industry partners.

The position offers a salary of AUD 110,059 to 117,718 per annum + 17% superannuation, is full-time, fixed-term for 12 months with a possibility of extension, based in Kensington, Sydney, Australia. Reporting to Associate Professor Sophia Gu, the role has no direct reports.

Qualifications include a PhD in relevant fields such as macromolecular science, material science, chemical engineering, or nanotechnology. Candidates should demonstrate a strong publication record, experience in synthesis and characterization of carbon nanomaterials, research independence, teamwork skills, and effective communication abilities. Knowledge of health and safety policies and commitment to UNSW’s values are also required.
