The University of Chicago invites applications from researchers who will make significant contributions to research programs housed within the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth. The University is building a world-leading Institute with a growing group of faculty leading groundbreaking research on energy and climate policy, energy technologies, climate mitigation and adaptation, and climate systems engineering.

To advance this mission, the Harris School of Public Policy, together with the Institute for Climate and Sustainable Growth, is seeking a full-time Research Assistant Professor. The position will be an initial three-year appointment. The position is renewable.

We seek individuals conducting research on global climate impacts and adaptation to work as part of the Institute's Climate Impact Lab. The Lab is a groundbreaking collaboration between economists, climate scientists, data engineers, and risk analysts that aims to build the world's most comprehensive body of research quantifying the impacts of climate change. The successful candidate will work as part of a research team and also have opportunities to conduct independent research under the guidance of the Climate Impact Lab's leadership. Applications are welcome from researchers who combine disciplinary expertise in economics and experience conducting high-impact translational research. Research on climate change is inherently interdisciplinary, so we seek individuals with a track record of collaboration beyond their discipline.

Education and Experience:
• 7-10 years of work experience in a related discipline. Experience gained through postdoctoral role may be counted as relevant experience.
• Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Economics, Public Policy, or associated discipline by the appointment start date.
