Job Summary:

The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment department of Plant & Soil Sciences seeks an organized individual with good communication and technical skills to fill the Research Analyst Principal role for the Rhizosphere Science Lab. The Research Analyst Principal is a key member of the team Rhizo lab independently carrying out research projects, analyzing experimental results, interpreting data, and preparation of research papers and manuscripts. Additional duties include purchasing, organizing laboratory inventory, maintaining laboratory equipment, supervising undergraduate and graduate students and assisting senior graduate and postdoctoral candidates with research projects in support of the overall Rhizo lab research mission which aims to unravel the inherent complexity of the rhizosphere to help solve some of the most critical problems facing the World today (climate change, food security, ecosystem integrity).

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

MS Office Programs; Experience with HPLC, FTIR, XAFS; and prior lab or lab management experience.
